This rustic setting is ideal for conferences/retreats for groups. Situated on 140 acres in Hickory Nut Gorge in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, Camp Mishemokwa has 34 cabins that will accommodate six people each and five centralized bath houses with hot showers. The Camp offers full-board which is mostly organic and the camp's small bakery provides delicious home-made bread.
Camp Mishemokwa's large and beautiful Dining Hall is furnished with an open stone fireplace and has a fully equipped kitchen. The camp offers a Gymnasium with a hardwood floor, a small outdoor Amphitheater, a Pottery, an Arts & Crafts Room, a Play Field, a Baseball-Field, two Tennis Courts, a Miniature Golf Course with 15 holes, two small Ponds and a Swimming Pool. Indoor seminars can be held in the Recreation Hall and in the Ingram House.

Hickory Nut Falls Campground, Chimney Rock, NC

     The Hickory Nut Falls Campground is a hilly campground with 84 level sites located along the Rocky Broad River. They offer a quiet family environment, full hookups, and tent sites both by the river and in wooded areas. Sites have fire pits and picnic tables.
     Enjoy a clean shower facility , laundry access, and a covered pavilion. The campground has a camp store with snacks and RV supplies, propane tank filling, ice, and firewood.
     They offer swimming in the river, fishing, hiking, horseshoes, and a children's playground.
     Located on Hwy 64/74A just 1/4 mile west of Chimney Rock Village and 1 mile west of Lake Lure.
     Open April 1st - October 31st. Call for current prices and availability. Reservations recommended. MasterCard, Visa, and Discover accepted.

     "Camp With Us" in the beautiful foothills of Western North Carolina. The River Creek Campground is located along the Broad River just a short distance from the Chimney Rock / Lake Lure area.
      River Creek Campground accommodates both tents and RV's in a rustic setting with shaded sites and sites along the river. Family camping at its finest, they offer fishing, tubing, river swimming, games, a playground, store, hot showers, campfires, and a laundry room. Canoes and kayaks welcome. Full hook-up - 20/30/50 amp.
     The campground is located on River Creek Drive off Rock Springs Church Road from Highway 64/74-A, just 10 miles east of Chimney Rock. They're close to a number of local activities and attractions.

The Hitching Post Campground, Mill Spring, NC

     Open year round. A tranquil, peaceful resort nestled in beautiful valley, just minutes from Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. Among an abundance of wildlife and beautiful scenery lies a campground where one can retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
     This 44-acre campground offers year-round full service and tent camping with such amenities as: a fishing pond, hiking trails, playground, game room, laundry, hot showers, handicap facilities, pavilion, bunkhouses, primitive sites and camp store with ice and firewood. The nature trails cover 44 acres, winding their way around babbling brooks, cascading waterfalls and the gorgeous flora indigenous to the western North Carolina mountains. Large groups welcome. Rentals are also available.
      The Hitching Post is conveniently located to such attractions as Lake Lure, Chimney Rock and one of the best fishing lakes in North Carolina - Lake Adger. It is centrally located for enjoying the recreation and beauty of western North Carolina.
     The campground is located on Girl Scout Camp Road, one mile from State Road 9, just south of the Intersection with Highway 64/74 in Lake Lure.
