Here are some of the beautiful bed and breakfast inns available:

Gaestehaus Salzburg
Grafton Lodge
The Old Mill
Wicklow Inn

Gaestehaus Salzburg, Lake Lure, NC

Gaestehaus Salzburg was built in the style of the border regions of the Alpines and much decorating is with natural woods.  Located in the beautiful mountains surrounding Lake Lure, special attention has been paid to conserving trees and wild flowers throughout the property, thus creating walking paths for guests to enjoy.  An abundance of colorful birds are also on the property.
The bedrooms in the house are spacious and tastefully decorated, with private bath.  There are also two-room suites in the cottage next to the main house.  These have living room with kitchenette, Jacuzzi baths and queen beds, plus a sleep sofa for extra person(s).  Each suite is equipped with fireplace, TV, Stereo, VCR, microwave and refrigerator.  There is also an outdoor pool and hot tub  available for guests' enjoyment!
Guests enjoy a sumptuous full European style breakfast that includes a platter of cold cuts, German sausages, and selected cheeses; soft boiled egg served in an eggcup; fresh fruit in season; a variety of fresh baked breads and of course, authentic Austrian pastries for the sweet tooth.

The Old Mill, Bat Cave, NC

The Old Mill, Bat Cave, NC

Imagine being lulled to sleep on the banks of a rushing mountain stream.  That's what you can experience when you stay at The Old Mill, a favored resting stop for wayfarers since 1922.
Located in spectacular Hickory Nut Gorge, this Bavarian chalet-style bed and breakfast was constructed from the remnants of a nearby mill destroyed in the The Great Flood of 1916.  This is evidenced by massive hand hewn beams, a fireplace embedded grist stone and a ceiling mounted water wheel all found downstairs in the browsing shop, chocked full of a variety of amusing, tempting and informative items.   You will probably consider spending some time downstairs on the deck overlooking the river.
At The Old Mill a variety of accommodations cater to most every need, from the vacationing single to groups of up to twenty.  The emphasis is on rustic comfort.  A hearty breakfast starts everyone's day off right.   Afterwards, there is plenty to do in the area or you can relax as you listen to the water splashing over the rocks.  Come spend some time or drop by and browse.

The Wicklow Inn, Chimney Rock, NC

Picture yourself relaxing on the main deck overlooking the Rocky Broad
River with your cup of coffee and a hot breakfast. Or enjoying a book or
magazine on the swing while listening to the soothing sound of the river.
The Wicklow Inn, a casual country bed and breakfast with an Irish flavor,
can offer you this and more.
Innkeeper Sharon Lloyd, a retired teacher, kept the name Wicklow given
to the Inn by the previous owners. She has also opened a new main floor
queen suite named Ryan's Hideaway in honor of them.
The Inn's five guest rooms are each distinctly different and are
eclectically furnished with rustic furniture, antiques, and contemporary
art. Three of the riverside rooms have private entrances. Two open onto a
large deck over the river and the third has a private deck with a porch
swing, also overlooking the river. Everything has been selected with great
care, and everywhere there is a hint of Irish heritage.
